CareCentrix, a provider in managing care to the home, today announced that it has engaged with athenahealth, a provider of cloud-based services and mobile applications for medical groups and health systems. The relationship connects athenahealth’s electronic health record (EHR) to CareCentrix via athenaCoordinator, a care coordination service, enabling athenahealth clients to send durable medical equipment orders electronically to CareCentrix. This reduces redundancy and improves accuracy for the 23 million Americans who have access to quality home care services coordinated by CareCentrix through its nationwide network of 8,000 credentialed provider locations.
