Explore Digital Transformation, AI and EMR Implementation with Experts at HIMSS24 APAC

Distinguished and dynamic experts and leaders will share their knowledge on the latest in healthcare technology at the 2024 HIMSS APAC Health Conference & Exhibition. 

Registration is open for HIMSS24 APAC, taking place 1-4 October in Seoul. The conference will showcase keynotes on cutting-edge health IT topics, interactive demonstrations and a digital health technology exhibition, all designed to enhance knowledge and foster innovation in healthcare. 

Dr. Kyung-Hwan Kim,  Head of the Institute of Convergence Medicine Innovative Technology at Seoul National University Hospital, will deliver the opening keynote on the remarkable strides Korea is making in the realm of digital transformation in healthcare, including rapidly adopting cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics and telemedicine to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. 

panel will examine the cutting-edge AI technologies transforming healthcare, the barriers to adoption and the future directions and implications of these innovations. Panelists include A/Prof Ngiam Kee Yuan, Group Chief Technology Officer, National University Health System, Singapore; Prof. In-Young Choi, Vice Chief Information Officer, Catholic Medical Centre, Korea; and Dr Shankar Sridharan, Chief Clinical Information Officer at Great Ormond Street Hospital, UK.  

A panel discussion moderated by HIMSS APAC Managing Editor Thiru Gunasegaran will take the first step to collectively craft strategies for more thoughtful EMR implementation. HIMSS embarked on a study to understand the EMR experiences and needs of health IT users in APAC provider organisations. This session will deliver insight into the greatest challenges users are facing in in their EMR experience, and hear from a panel of experts on how these can potentially be overcome. Panelists include Dr Mahesh Appannan, Head of Digital Health, MOH Malaysia; Gareth Sherlock, Chief Executive, Turimetta Consulting, Former Chief Information Officer, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Cleveland Clinic London, Australia; and A/Prof Seyoung Jung,  Chief Information Officer, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, South Korea.
