Inspira Health has selected Epic, the industry-leading electronic health record (EHR), to support the organization’s future work to enhance patient care, improve clinician well-being, streamline operations, and provide a simpler healthcare experience for its community. Epic will serve as a single, integrated platform for clinical and administrative workflows across Inspira’s health system, which includes four hospitals and numerous access points across South Jersey.
“Selecting Epic reflects our continued commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community by placing the safety of our patients and support of our employees at the center of all we do,” said Warren E. Moore, FACHE, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Inspira Health. “We’ll not only enhance how we deliver care, but also empower patients with greater control over their health experience and their health information—no matter where they are in their health care journey. Furthermore, with these efficient tools and resources, our care providers and physicians can focus more on what matters most: providing quality patient care.”
Key features of the Epic implementation include:
- MyChart: Patients will have a secure portal where they can schedule appointments, view test results, message their care teams, and manage their health information from any device.
- Information Sharing: Epic’s interoperability platform, Care Everywhere, will give Inspira the ability to easily exchange information with other health systems, helping ensure that Inspira patients can receive personalized care wherever they receive it.
- Cutting-edge AI: Epic is spearheading the use of artificial intelligence, including generative AI, to make life easier for clinicians and increase operational efficiency.
By partnering with Epic, Inspira joins a nationwide network of leading health systems, all committed to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of health care. The implementation is expected to begin later this summer, with an anticipated go-live in summer 2026.
