Designed for decision-makers, cybersecurity experts, technology leaders and other healthcare professionals who safeguard against cyber threats, the 2024 HIMSS Healthcare Cybersecurity Forum offers knowledge, tools and networking to help systems evolve with the fast-paced tech landscape.
Registration is open for the forum, which takes place Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in Washington, D.C.
Throughout two focused days of expert keynotes, education sessions, panel discussions and social events, attendees will learn to safeguard health systems against the latest cyber threats.
Greg Garcia, executive director, Health Sector Coordinating Council (Cybersecurity Working Group), will deliver the opening keynote, covering core goals for ensuring system stability by 2030. His work at the Health Sector Coordinating Council focuses on evolving ways to shield health systems against cyber and physical threats, and advising security teams within governments, finance and health.
Sessions will delve into workforce solutions, cybersecurity innovations, resilience and building and maintaining a strong cybersecurity infrastructure. Knowledge will be shared through interactive panels, engaging fireside chats, roundtable discussions, technology demos, workshops and tabletop exercises.
An expert panel including Lee Kim, HIMSS senior principle, cybersecurity and privacy, will explore if artificial intelligence is a tool for warding off cyberattacks or a hacker’s best friend.
Richard Staynings, cybersecurity thought leader; professor, University of Denver, and a cybersecurity expert with the American Hospital Association will deliver the closing keynote.
Against the backdrop of a beautiful autumn in Washington, D.C., attendees will enjoy reconnecting with colleagues and fostering new relationships.
