Missouri Delta Medical Center chooses PatientMatters as a patient receivables partner
Missouri Delta Medical Center (MDMC), Sikeston, Missouri and PatientMatters (PM) have signed an agreement under which PM will provide and supplement certain patient access, registration and scheduling functions to help transform the patient financial experience within the hospital. Using Periscope, a PM technology, the PM team will assist MDMC staff in improving operating processes, providing educational opportunities and promoting advocacy access on behalf of all hospital patients.
The company offers hospitals a solution that addresses the Strategic, Operational and Financial areas to impact changes in patient payment options and overall education. PatientMatters transforms the patient into an educated consumer, empowering them to engage more effectively with the healthcare system.
“The PatientMatters approach aligns well with the needs of our community and our hospital” said Greg Carda, Chief Financial Officer for MDMC. “We have an opportunity to take head-on the many challenges our hospital and our patients are facing in today’s changing healthcare environment. PatientMatters has a holistic approach to the patient experience and will prepare MDMC to better meet the needs of each patient. Working together with PatientMatters as our partner, I am confident we will strengthen our ability to meet the community’s needs.”
“We are excited about this new partnership with Missouri Delta,” said Sheila Schweitzer, Chief Executive Officer for PatientMatters. “The hospital leadership has recognized that a partnership with PatientMatters will provide the people, processes and technology to make it easier for their staff to navigate the complex patient financial changes in healthcare. Improving overall patient satisfaction and patient payment options for the hospital through a shared-risk partnership and no up-front costs is our goal. Our approach will help the hospital staff become more comfortable and confident with their patient financial conversations.”
