Cognizant announced that Lumenis, the world’s largest energy-based medical device company for aesthetic, surgical and ophthalmology applications, has deployed Cognizant MedVantage, a cloud-based integrated complaint handling solution.
Lumenis’ ground-breaking products using laser, intense pulsed light (IPL) and radio frequency (RF) technologies have redefined medical treatments and set numerous technological and clinical benchmarks and standards. By utilizing Cognizant’s MedVantage Complaint Management Solution, device and other issues are automatically and precisely tracked, classified and maintained online from start to finish for improved service, efficiency and reporting.
“Lumenis has an uncompromising commitment to improving the health and well-being of our patients. The Cognizant MedVantage solution integrates seamlessly with our existing Salesforce.com infrastructure and provides all of our stakeholders with a critical end-to-end complaint management solution,” said Amir Belferman, Global CIO, Lumenis. “MedVantage enables us to not only manage product complaints but also related adverse events, Medical Device Reporting (MDR)/Vigilance reporting, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities, and internal/external audit tracking. Our regional offices recently went ‘live’ with this new solution, enhancing our ability to analyze global post market data from anywhere in the world.”
“This global access to data will help our engineering and R&D departments make more rapid product improvement decisions, ultimately affecting our customers’ satisfaction and their patients’ outcomes,” said Yossi Sabach, Project Manager of Global IT Complaint Management, Lumenis. “With this solution, we have expanded global outreach and will continue to do so going forward.”
