Jellico Community Hospital chooses integrated enterprise, clinical and consumer engagement solutions from MEDHOST
Straddling the Tennessee/Kentucky border, Jellico Community Hospital needed a solution for engaging and empowering the diverse communities in its two-state region. The hospital chose to partner with MEDHOST and apply its array of intuitive solutions, including the cloud-based YourCareUniverse patient portal to support its patient engagement strategy.
The solutions MEDHOST will implement across the Jellico enterprise were developed with clinicians in mind, which fosters rapid clinical adoption and widespread efficiencies. These solutions include MEDHOST’s enterprise inpatient electronic health record (EHR) and its suite of integrated clinical and financial solutions – MEDHOST Physician Experience, with a clinical suite that closely matches realistic physician workflows and processes; MEDHOST’s Perioperative Information Management System (PIMS); and the company’s flagship Emergency Department Information System (EDIS).
Jellico worked with its parent company, Community Hospital Corporation (CHC), to find a new end-to-end solution, and CHC leadership knew MEDHOST’s solutions could revitalize financial and clinical processes. Hospital and CHC leaders also valued the integrated nature of the MEDHOST solutions and their ability to integrate with third-party systems.

In keeping with its high technology standards, Jellico will have the enterprise EHR remotely hosted and managed through MEDHOST Direct, with the IT infrastructure in MEDHOST’s secure, HIPAA-compliant IT data center.
