Israel’s Ministry of Health implements Safe-T Box data exchange broker for secure sharing of health information

Safe-T announced today that Israel’s Ministry of Health (MOH) has implemented Safe-T Box 6.0 for secure information sharing between healthcare providers, to prevent the loss of sensitive patient data and the possibility of cyber-attacks. Safe-T Box provides an additional layer of protection by securing file transfers and emails, and access to medical applications enabling health care providers to have safe access to complete and accurate information essential to providing medical treatment. The solution was sold and implemented by Taldor, one of Israel’s leading IT companies.

Safe-T Box was selected by MOH due to its ability to secure the sharing of different types of key medical information between all of the different entities in the healthcare system including hospitals, HMOs, healthcare providers, and patients. Providing secure file upload and transfer of timely, complete, and accurate information is especially critical when the patient is unable to convey the information directly, to reduce errors in diagnosis and unnecessary examinations, and to enable health care providers to make better and more rapid clinical decisions.

“Safe-T was selected since it was the only vendor who succeeded in providing protection for all of the different forms of data exchange”, said Shlomi Zinger, VP Cyber Sales at Taldor. “By consolidating all of MOH's data security solutions, MOH are now able to reduce their points of failure and vulnerability, while improving their ease of use and cost and labor efficiency.”
