Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Florida, is installing a suite of diagnostic imaging solutions from Carestream in its new state-of-the-art Baptist Hospital campus opening this fall.
“Baptist Health Care undertook the bold move of building a new facility to provide the next-level care that our community deserves,” said Amy Menier, MBA, BSRT(R)(CT), Executive Director of Imaging at Baptist Health Care. “Carestream’s best-in-class X-ray imaging solutions will support that goal by enabling us to capture high-quality diagnostic images to help improve clinical outcomes and by making the image capture process comfortable and efficient for our patients and our radiology team.”
The new 602,000-square-foot Baptist Hospital will provide 264 beds and include a Level II trauma center. The adjacent Bear Family Foundation Health Center is a 178,000-square-foot medical office building that provides convenient access to outpatient care. Both facilities will offer imaging services.
General radiography imaging needs will be met by three DRX-Evolution Plus X-ray rooms, three DRX-Compass X-ray rooms and two DRX-Excel Plus dRF systems, which also support fluoroscopy exams. Quality bedside imaging will be provided with five DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray systems. All the solutions will be powered by Carestream’s ImageView Software Platform that is designed to dramatically improve image quality and security. Baptist Health Care also chose Carestream’s DRX Plus and Lux 35 glass-free detectors that are shareable across the entire DRX family of X-ray solutions, delivering cost savings.
“Baptist Health Care continuously strives to be a national leader in quality and service,” Ms. Menier said. “Leveraging the right technologies is fundamental to providing the very best care as well as remaining competitive.”
“We are proud that Baptist Health Care chose our industry-leading imaging solutions to support their goal of delivering next-level care for their patients,” said Kendall Ryerson, Vice President, North America Sales at Carestream. “In addition to helping to improve patient outcomes, our suite of solutions offers workflow efficiencies that will help make the image capture process easier on imaging staff and more comfortable for patients.”
