Cerner to replace Department of Defense’s anatomic pathology laboratory information system
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) has selected Cerner, which competed and successfully won an award, to replace the Military Health System's (MHS) existing anatomic pathology laboratory information system.
Cerner will issue its CoPathPlus software licenses and implement server hardware, peripheral equipment and services throughout all Department of Defense (DoD) military treatment facility anatomic pathology laboratories around the world. The CoPathPlus deployment will provide comprehensive anatomic pathology workflow automation, management reporting and quality-assurance functionality to the MHS. For four consecutive years, CoPathPlus has earned the KLAS: Software and Services Category Leader title.
“We are proud to be the DoD’s anatomic pathology laboratory solutions provider of choice,” said Travis Dalton, vice president, Cerner. “Having worked with the Military Health System for more than 20 years, we understand the value of providing the DoD with the best health care IT solutions possible.”
