Baptist Health South Florida selects Cerner for enterprise-wide health IT system
Cerner, a global leader in healthcare technology, was selected by Baptist Health South Florida, a leading healthcare organization in the region, to implement Cerner Millennium and HealtheIntent across all of the system’s hospitals, physician offices and outpatient locations.
Cerner’s electronic health record (EHR) system and comprehensive population health management platform will enhance the organization’s existing Cerner Soarian Financials revenue cycle management solutions, providing Baptist Health with an integrated, enterprise-wide health information technology (IT) system.
“With the responsibility for more than 1 million patient visits each year and nearly 17,000 employees, it is essential that we have industry-leading health IT solutions to manage care,” said Ralph Lawson, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Baptist Health South Florida. “Cerner’s sophisticated integrated experience across the enterprise, from the EHR to financial and population health management solutions will propel Baptist Health toward our goal of improving care coordination and reducing the cost of care.”
